Learn from the 'LIZARD'!!!

I really dont know if the story is true or not but what counts is the 'message' and how we must remind oneself often on 'beauty of life'!!!

A LIZARD CAN, WHY CAN'T WE?

This was a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan Breaks open the wall.

Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened?

The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years! In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years! without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed!

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ahh! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years... Such help! such a beautiful love! Such happened even with this tiny creature ... What can help do? It can do wonders! Help can do miracles! Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

Think, will u do that to your partner ? Think that will you do it to your Mom, Who brought you after a big struggle of NINE long months ? Or at least to your Dad, Friends, Coworkers, Brothers & and Sisters ? Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't.

HELP is an act, do it, let it go. LOVE is a gift, take it, let it grow. PATIENCE is a sign, we should wear, let it show.

p.s-Vinay, thanks for the story:)

Holla :-)

I think am starting to sound redundant praising each and every article you put down :P Anyways, as usual I have loads to say ;-)

A lizard does not even have a brain larger than the size of a lentil seed, yet the compassion associated with such an einfach creature is beyond comprehension. The dedication, perseverance, devotion and above all understanding 'twixt the two is testament to the feelings originating from somewhere far away from the realms of cognition and logic - its irrational - purposeless - what material gain did the second lizard get out of feeding its mate for 10 long years ?! And it is precisley this quality that makes it invaluable and I envy the simplicity of such a life - not being dragged into a moral or philosophical stand regarding almost every experience of life. Our lives have become complicated not because of the advent of technology or elaboration of science but due to the slow death of emotion and sentiment that has been moulded by time and society into an acquired habit rather than an inherent trait of human existence. We read this article and go 'awwww how sweet !!' - why did we need the article to react this way - I bet not one of us would not have felt guilty for one thing or the other - be it not being in touch with your folks, being selfish, complaining 'bout irrelevant stuff .. blah blah .. the list's endless. But the point here is not the 'what' but the 'why' and people tend to overlook that fact - why do we need constant reminders - anecdotes and experiences to tug at our memories and feelings and make us realise that we too can feel and not everything 'bout us has to be complicated - small trivialities of life make you feel more of a human than do the achievements and failures we encounter.

Well am going slightly off topic but do not take this as criticism, coz am a person too .. but there's a difference 'tween us all - most of us neva realise what i just said and waste away their lives lookin' for happiness that always was within, a few of us actually realise this [like moi ;-)] and an even fewer proportion actually acts on the thought and these are the people I respect coz they have figured out happiness and have achieved nirvana :-)

Well right now I gotta hurry off for some grocery shopping .. will make sure to be back and write some more ;-)

Ciao
