INDIA-Gets better and better.

I believe we need to take out 60 minutes from our lives and really watch this video about India and its past. I say it is totally worth it. You might be bored with history but just watch this and see how our culture exceled from thousand centuries.
As a matter of fact, irrespective of the culture, learning something new and respecting is what we makes a difference.
Hopefully you will all enjoy the video.
INDIA!Not only religion, culture but the Greatest of science in simple words.

P.s- I don't promise you any 'MI:3'(Dissappointing movie, i heard) entertainment but people who come here to my blog, fishing for the 'food of thought'....this video is definently one of them.

I should get a gold membership for your blog i guess :P Okay seriously now .. THANK YOU very much :-) Wondering why am I thanking you ? For the past so many years I have been questioning every single person who tells me that he/she is proud of India - "What is it that makes you proud to be an Indian ? " and trust me never have I received a different answer than "because of the culture" and beyond this point the effort on their part vanishes - no idea "what" about the culture. Today as I watched the video I felt proud to be an Indian - me, who has been a devout critic of Indianness ;-) I wouldn't say India is all goody-goody now but I surely feel a new found respect for my country and have never been more proud to call it MY country :-) Trivial things tend to be overlooked - am from Delhi and never did I acknowledge the greatness of Jantar Mantar or the non-rusting iron pillar at Qutub Minar and it actually makes one feel ashamed that a BBC documentary has to introduce me to such wonders. A rich cultural heritage and the world over doesn't know 'bout it - why ? coz of ppl like us - we are the ones who should know it all before we expect anyone else to acknowledge the greatness that is India.
To tell you the truth I was going to watch 'The Da Vinci Code' tonight but read your blog and since you recommended a video just got curious and as a result have seen it twice till now and its absolutely fascinating you never realise how time passes by - guess its the latent patriotic self that delves into the depth of the video and enjoys the praise and fame India accrues ;-)
Frankly, I always found history a bit on the 'langweilig' side and was a bit skeptical abt watching the video esp. given the fact that u mentioned it in ur post :D But the documentary is so enticing that its more of a story than history. Its like a kid sitting at the foot of his grandpa's armchair and he's rocking it back and forth slowly and relating to his grandson a fable of a time that was - mystical and fascinating all the same.
Have been to Gwalior and imagine my bad luck - the fort with the first engravings of '0' was the only place i didn't visit coz I never knew !! Need to go there again thats for sure :)
Thank you so very much - you've induced a spark in at least one individual for sure ;-) I now see why it is that your 'Q' revolves around what is it that you can give to your country - a whole cycle completes and brings us to the honour and dignity we possess by virtue of being Indian - a sense of pride and responsibility to our motherland - whatever be it - am 100% with you on this one. Will help broadcast this video to others as well. Kudos to your noble effort :-)

PS I know your exams are abt to commence so your readers shall wait eagerly for the day the 'tension' is gone. Till then no replies expected :-) Best of luck for your exams :-)

Ciao
